Kids Day 2013

Kids/Daycare Day is a great tradition of the Brown County Free Fair. We've planned many events and activities that will make the day special for families, daycare providers and children of all ages. Spend the day with us on Friday, August 9, 2013!

Headlining in the Civic Center is T. Texas Terry and his cowboy comedy show.  Terry will entertain the kids with his amazing rope tricks and plate spinning.  He’ll also include a little history about the American cowboy and the importance of the wagon train era to the growth of our country.  Audience participation and laughter are required!  His shows are at 11am and 1pm.  After that he’ll be roaming the grounds on his stilts!

Also in the Civic Center, from 11am – 3pm, will be Sparkee, Markee and SweetPea.  These three jolly clowns will entertain, make balloon creations, face-paint and help kids make bracelets to take home.

In the Entertainment Hall, Sonshine Puppets will be on stage at 12pm and 2pm.  Learn about agriculture in a fun, fast-paced puppet show.  And, dance with Melvin the Giant Pig!  Bring your lunch, enjoy the shaded venue while singing with Barbi Cox and her friends.

Vogel’s Exotic Animals will offer free animal feeding between 11am and 1pm (no coupons required this year).  The Kids Pedal Pull will start at 1pm, outside the Civic Center.

Throughout the day, the New Ulm Park and Rec Puppet Wagon will be performing shows on the Civic Center lawn.  The FFA Children’s Barnyard is open all day (and every day of the fair) for hands-on interaction with animals and agriculture.  And of course, the livestock barns and 4H Building are open for touring, too.  Carnival specials are available Kids Day, and every day. See elsewhere on this site or local media for details.

NEW THIS YEAR – no preregistration required!  Simply come to the Entertainment Hall between 10:30 and 12pm.  We’ll have coupons, treats and other goodies available for your kids, while supplies last.  Printed schedules will be available so you don’t miss any part of Kids Day 2013!
