Kids Day 2015
Kids Day is a great tradition of the Brown County Free Fair. We've planned several activities that will make the day special for families, daycare providers and children of all ages. Spend the day with us on Friday, August 14, 2015!
Inside the Civic Center, we're excited to bring back Tricia & The Toonies! Tricia and her puppet friends perform an interactive program focusing on reducing, reusing, recycling, pollution prevention, natural resource conservation and more. Tricia and the Toonies make learning fun with high-energy music, props and audience interaction. Join us at 11am and 1pm for the Enviro-Show.
Outside the Civic Center, Ms. JaZee will be entertaining and clowning around. She has great balloon creations to share with fairgoers. Visit her from 11am – 3pm.
Kids, through age 11, can participate in the Pedal Pull at 1pm, outside the Civic Center. There is opportunity for kids to win a trophies, prizes and the chance to go on to the State Pedal Pull competition in the Fall.
Throughout the day, starting in the late morning, the New Ulm Park and Rec Puppet Wagon will be performing shows on the Civic Center lawn.
We encourage fairgoers to take a walk through our grounds and visit our exhibitors. The FFA Children's Barnyard is open all day (and every day of the fair) for hands-on interaction with animals and agriculture. And of course, the livestock barns and 4H Building are open for touring, too. Food vendors will be open, to satisfy your appetite. Carnival and ride specials are available Kids Day, and every day. Dock Dogs are coming back and will be jumping during the afternoon.
No preregistration required! Just come to the Brown County Free Fair and enjoy the day. If you're at the Fair early, stop by the Entertainment Hall between 10:30am and 12pm. We'll have coupons, treats and other goodies available for your kids, while supplies last. Printed schedules will be available so you don't miss any part of Kids Day 2015!
